And the Italian Regions will be more equipped to participate in the european race to conquer the funds earmarked for the sector, starting with the over $ 50 billion, which constitute the stakes of the overall SEVENTH framework Programme for research.

one of the consequences of the cooperation agreement signed today in Rome by five Regions: Campania, Lazio, Marche, Tuscany and Umbria.

The agreement, promoted by the Region of Tuscany, allows, through a più close coordination between the different reality; regional, to create a critical mass and either così più that access to the funds made available by the VII european framework Programme in research and innovation.

“Investing in research”, explained the councillor for the Università and research of the Region of Tuscany, Eugenio Baronti, illustrating the purposes of the memorandum of understanding – it means investing in the future.  The research is strategic, especially in this time of economic crisis, and is fundamental to support innovation and point to a transformation of the productive model, towards a development more sustainable.

this, he added, ” a form of coordination very operational, with no wagons or tables useless, but that servirà to grow a more mature design culture, also through the exchange of experiences and good practices.

The agreement is armored, – said the commissioner – but, on the contrary, is open to further adhesions.  The hope is that from this first group may expand soon to other Regions”. On the plate there are more than 50 billion euros for the 2007-2013 period.

A mail decidedly appealing, that forò not è not at all easy to conquer, not only for the ruthless competition but also due to a widespread underestimation of the verification criteria, and of the complex modeà of procedure laid down for the formulation of the proposals.
