I have developed the researchers of the gipsa referenced-lab Département Images Signal Grenoble (France) and the Mit Division of Health Sciences and Technology in Boston (Usa). The new system is able to ‘isolate’ and record with great precision the rhythm and the shape of the heart signal, fetal: the two elements can signal complications, such as malformations, infections, problems of the bead.
Today, the ultrasound scan and the electrocardiogram is not sensitive enough to obtain an early diagnosis of abnormalities of the heart. The noveltyà è was developed by Reza Sameni, phd student, Grenoble, the gipsa referenced-lab, which has developed a new technique to ‘read’ and ‘separate’ the signals and the Ecg of the fetus recorded by a network of electrodes placed on the maternal belly.
Già from the second trimester of pregnancy, the future mother willà to bring a wide belt around the abdomen equipped with electrodes. The prototype is expected to be 32, but the researchers say the number will be less in the final realization.
